On Sunday 31 January, Curaçao International Film Festival Rotterdam presents, in cooperation with IFFR, the Spanish film La novia/ The Bride from director Paula Ortiz, that premieres worldwide in over forty theaters.
All viewers, whether in a cinema in the Netherlands, England, Italy, Poland, Canada, Curaçao or elsewhere in the world, can take part in the Q&A session after the film on Twitter, allowing them to sample the festival atmosphere wherever they are. Every Q&A will be further enhanced by additional live elements, such as music.
La novia/The Bride from Paula Ortiz (Spain, Germany) is based on the famous play Bodas de sangre/Blood Wedding by Federico García Lorca, La novia tells the story of a passionate love triangle. A bride leaves her groom, unable any longer to withstand the surging desires of her lover, Leonardo.
La novia is in Spanish with English subtitles and screens one time only at The Cinemas on Sunday 31 January at 11:00 AM. The screening is followed by a Q&A session with the filmmaker live from the Rotterdamse Schouwburg. The audience is invited to actively participate through Twitter.
