From the 18 entries into the short movie competition designed to discover local filmtalent, the jury has selected three Jury Award winners. These short movies go on to compete for the Audience Award 2015 and are screened during the festival prior to the Yellow Robin Award nominees where the audience can indicated their appreciation on a poll card. The Audience Award winner is announced on Saturday 28 March at 19:00.

Jury Award Winners 2015 per genre:

Fiction: Distansia – theme My Name is… from Miguel Gonzalez Perret Gentil, Elizabeth Francisco, and Kathelyn Amarica. A very original and creative film with a surprising interpretation of the theme, beautiful camera work, and good acting, according to the jury.

Documentary: Press on Marelly – theme My Name is… from Romeo Welvaart and Minchenou Welvaart. The jury finds this an informative and above all positive film that is extra valuable in view of the recent negative publicity in the local (political) world of sports.

Music Video: Fellow ft Ritmo Real – Hasi manera bo no sa, theme Neighbors, from Selwyn de Wind, Michael Lampe, and Nestor Evelyn. Everything is right in the movie, according to the jury: camera work, music, and theme interpretation.

Ticket sales for the festival starts on Saturday 21 March at 10:00 at the Central Box Office of The Cinemas.
