Screens before: Labour of Love. Only a boy from Papua could hang from a climbing frame like this. He's elated because his big brother Hans called. Elegant glimpse of real life at an orphanage.

Fluid camerawork follows Marcel, a seven-year-old at the orphanage in Serui in Papua waiting for a call from his brother Hans, an aspiring professional footballer in the distant capital. Glimpse of the life of a boy with a dream. The director dreamt of being a basketball player and understood Marcel.

Yandy LAURENS (Indonesië) wilde eigenlijk professioneel basketballer worden. Toen hij toneelstukken in de lokale kerk opnam begon hij te beseffen hoe graag hij met acteurs werkte. Hij studeerde af aan het Jakarta Institute of the Arts in 2012 en maakte enkele korte films. Momenteel is hij het script aan het schrijven voor zijn eerste lange film.
