A man and a woman meet in a desolate world. Initially hostile, they quickly develop an intense, vulnerable relationship. However, this engenders fear and suspicion. From Dirt is a rhythmic exploration of desire, intimacy and rejection.

Hester JONKHOUT (1972, Curaçao) moved to the Netherlands at the age of 15, where she was educated at the Netherlands Film Academy. After graduating, she went to live in Suriname, where she worked on several feature films, documentaries and reports. Since 2012, Jonkhout has been based in Curaçao.
